Exciting Teaching Opportunity at one of our premier schools on the boarder of Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire

Full-Time, Long Term Position

Education Personnel are looking for a Design & Technology Teacher who can cover predominately Eduqas Construction but also IT up to KS4.

The School

Our esteemed school is well-regarded in the locality. We are currently looking for a dynamic Design Technology and IT teacher to join our team. The school boasts a modernized site with excellent facilities and a supportive community. With ongoing plans for improvement, we offer a positive environment for both students and staff.

General duties of the Design Technology Teacher will be:

  • Effective Teaching and Curriculum Development:
    • Deliver engaging Design & Technology lessons aligned with the national curriculum.
    • Integrate practical projects for hands-on learning.
  • Practical Application of Construction Skills:
    • Facilitate creative and innovative design projects.
    • Encourage students to apply design skills in workshops.
  • Use of Modern Technologies:
    • Integrate relevant technologies like CAD into lessons.
    • Familiarize students with industry-standard software.
  • Health and Safety Compliance:
    • Ensure strict adherence to health and safety protocols.
    • Educate students on responsible tool and equipment use.
  • Project-Based Learning and Collaboration:
    • Implement project-based learning for critical thinking.
    • Foster teamwork and communication through collaborative projects.
  • Providing safeguarding and pastoral support.
