MERJE is seeking an experienced Consumer Duty & Compliance Manager for a leading FS firm expanding into unsecured lending. This role offers an opportunity to shape product governance frameworks and ensure fair value and good customer outcomes. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of UK financial regulations and strong analytical skills.

£55,000 - £65,000

Location: Homeworking (all work travel expensed). Expectation to be in an office 2 days every 4-6 weeks

The Role

The Consumer Duty & Compliance Manager will be responsible for managing and enhancing the product governance framework in line with FCA regulations and Consumer Duty requirements. Key Responsibilities of the Consumer Duty & Compliance Manager:

  • Manage and enhance product governance framework
  • Develop robust data and reporting mechanisms
  • Define approach for Target Market & Fair Value assessments
  • Deliver papers and data dashboards for governance committees
  • Provide regulatory advice and guidance

Required knowledge and experience for the Consumer Duty & Compliance Manager role:

  • Detailed knowledge of UK financial regulatory environment - particular knowledge needing to be evidenced in PROD and CONC
  • Good understanding of Consumer Duty
  • Solid technical regulatory awareness of Products & Services and Price & Value
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Experience in regulated consumer lending
  • 1st or 2nd line governance experience
  • Ability to translate complex insights into actionable outputs
  • Customer-focused attitude with adaptability
