About the Role:
In this position, you will be teaching a vibrant Year 1 class, guiding students through their early development stages and ensuring they feel supported and excited to learn. You will be responsible for planning and delivering lessons that are creative, engaging, and tailored to meet the individual needs of each child. Collaboration with teaching assistants and parents will be key to ensuring every student has the best possible start in their education.
Main Duties:
- Teach core subjects like literacy and numeracy, creating an engaging and dynamic learning environment.
- Foster a positive and encouraging classroom atmosphere where all students are included.
- Track and evaluate student progress, providing targeted support and feedback to help children achieve their learning goals.
- Work closely with support staff to create a cohesive learning experience for all pupils.
- Establish open communication with parents and carers to maintain strong partnerships and enhance student success.
What We're Looking For:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is a must.
- Prior experience in teaching Year 1 or early primary years is desirable.
- Excellent classroom management and a flexible approach to teaching different learning styles.
- A creative and resourceful mind set, with the ability to inspire and motivate young learners.
