The Role

As an IT Technician, you will be a key part of our service delivery team, providing essential technical support and ensuring our clients' IT systems run smoothly. This role will require a blend of on-site and remote support for both on-premises and cloud environments. Your primary responsibilities will include troubleshooting, maintenance, installation, and upgrades for a variety of IT systems, including desktops, servers, networks, and cloud-based applications.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide 1st and 2nd line support to clients on-site and remotely.* Troubleshoot and resolve issues across on-premises and cloud infrastructure.* Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware and software.* Monitor system performance, manage backups, and perform regular maintenance tasks.* Maintain documentation for processes, configurations, and troubleshooting steps.* Collaborate with the wider IT team to enhance service delivery and client satisfaction.* Provide guidance and training to clients, where necessary.* Maintain adherence to service level agreements (SLAs) and escalate issues as needed.* Contribute to IT projects, including migrations and upgrades.

Skills and Experience

* Technical Knowledge: Proficiency with Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems. Experience with cloud solutions, particularly Microsoft 365, Azure, and/or AWS. Familiarity with network configuration, vitalisation (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V), and backup solutions.* Troubleshooting: Ability to diagnose and resolve issues across hardware, software, network, and cloud environments.* Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users.* Organisational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities, meeting deadlines effectively.

Qualifications

2+ years of IT support experience in a managed services or similar environment.Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals, or similar are advantageous.Full UK driving license required (some travel to client sites).
