About the Role:
Hunter AHP is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Pharmacist to join a well-established NHS hospital in Sussex. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced pharmacist to contribute to a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced hospital environment, providing expert clinical pharmacy services to ensure the safe and effective use of medicines for patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive medication reviews on the wards to ensure the safe and effective use of medicines.
- Provide clinical support to medical and nursing staff regarding drug therapy and patient care.
- Participate in ward rounds, advising the healthcare team on pharmacological issues.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of medication protocols and guidelines.
- Monitor and manage the therapeutic use of drugs in patients, ensuring positive clinical outcomes.
- Provide training and support to junior staff and other healthcare professionals.
- Liaise with patients, offering medication counselling and information to improve adherence.
Essential Requirements:
- Registered Pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
- Experience working as a Clinical Pharmacist in an NHS hospital setting.
- Strong clinical knowledge and experience in medication management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
