  • Job Title: Locum Pharmacist (Band 6/7)

  • Location: NHS hospital East Sussex

  • Duration: 6 months

  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm (30-minute lunch) – part-time considered (3–4 days/week)

  • Start Date: ASAP

  • End Date: 6 months from start

  • Rate of Pay: £23ph-£30ph

What You’ll Be Doing:

Join our team as a Locum Pharmacist and play a key role in improving the lives of inpatients across medical and surgical wards. In this role, you will:

  • perform comprehensive patient medication reviews

  • support clinical teams with medicines optimisation

  • assist with discharge planning and patient counselling

  • rotate through dispensary and ward-based duties

  • collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe and effective treatment

  • maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medication records

Requirements & Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • a current and valid GPhC registration

  • previous experience working in NHS hospital settings

  • familiarity with medical/surgical wards and dispensary workflow

  • strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • the ability to work both independently and within a team

  • a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care

Working Hours & Contract Duration:

This role offers a flexible working position requiring availability from Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm, with part-time options available. The contract is for 6 months with a strong possibility of extension based on performance and service needs.
