Service Delivery Manager required for a role within the construction industry. This is to be based between sites in South Tyneside and Darlington. The purpose of the role in the business is to manage the North East Planning/Scheduling and Business Support teams.

The RoleYou will be responsible for the effective delivery of the operations, should that be Planning, Scheduling, Customer Service or Support and Administration Services.

Strong commercial acumen and a thorough understanding of contractual delivery are essential requirements of the role, you will ensure the appropriate supporting structure is in place for work to be carried out efficiently and effectively.

You will be a role model to the wider team and set the highest of standards, leading by example and inspiring a high performing team around you and ensuring that a first class service is delivered by all. Additionally, you will use a data lead approach to workflow and performance management, sharing regular performance data to senior managers and other stakeholders and you will liaise with client and sub-contractor teams to ensure the highest standards of service delivery - maintaining positive relationships will be vital.

Furthermore, you will develop, document and maintain clear planning processes, based on the established strategic vision, you will then implement these processes through strong communication - this will include a plan of action, clear expectations and accountability.

You will hold regular performance meetings with your teams to review KPIs and create appropriate action plans for any areas of concern, ensuring all team members have appropriate and stretching performance targets that are value-adding and simple-to-understand.

Additionally, you will be responsible for ensuring the actuate and timely valuation and invoicing of all works is carried out, ensuring the value of unvoiced work is kept to a minimum.

Working hours will generally be 40 per week, to be worked between 7am and 5pm to suit the needs of the business, working more than 40 hours if required.

The Person Applicants must have relevant experience, ideally in the delivery of reactive construction works. Additionally, they must have experience in a fast-paced environment and be comfortable leading and managing several teams.Stakeholder engagement is a large part of this role and the ability to communicate with and present to a range of stakeholders is essential.Applicants will also need to be able to drive.

Remuneration£45,000 to £55,000 per annum.
