An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Press Brake Operator to join a well-established engineering business on a permanent basis, working days, Monday to Thursday and 3pm finish on Friday, with an hourly rate of upto 17.50 per hour along with regular overtime and free parking.
They specialise in providing a range of metal forming processes to meet their client's needs, with state-of-the-art equipment, due to rapid growth and future plan, including the imminent arrival of a second laser, they are looking for an experienced Press Brake Operator to add to the current team.
Press Brake Operator Duties:
- Setting and operating Press Brake Machines
- Batch work and one-off assignments
- Ability to understand technical drawings and apply technical information
- Inspecting and maintaining quality control before and after production
- Cross checking & completing all necessary paperwork
- Assisting in other areas when required
Experience and knowledge:
Essential:
- Experience as a lead operator on a Press Brake
- Ability to read an interpret detailed engineering drawings
- Experience of working on a shop floor in a manufacturing setting
- Knowledge of a variety of steel alloy grades
Desired:
- FLT experience
- Experience of working in a sub-contracting press brake setting
- Ability to prioritise your own workload
