Environmental Advisor to join a globally operating key company in the world of agricultural chemicals. They are investing millions into the UK operation in West Yorkshire over the course of the next 4 years, building on an already reputable brand and manufacturing site with around 350 current staff members.


As an Environmental Advisor for this site you will be accountable for all waste aspects of the operation, ensuring compliance with permit regulations, hazardous waste regulations, ISO14001, corporate procedures and associated guidance.
The company is one of the world's foremost chemical manufacturers operating to COMAH regulations, being the largest global producer of a specialist chemical product made across their sites. To maintain their status as a market trailblazer within the sector, they have ambitious but stable expansion and investment strategies over the next 5-10 years in which this individual as an Environmental Advisor will be key to delivering and facilitating future growth.


Responsibilities of an Environmental Advisor

  • Responsible to maintain all aspects of the Site's ISO 14001 accreditation.
  • Maintain and accurately manage the waste management database following compliance records to satisfy all legal requirements where needed.
  • Manage all waste suppliers purchase orders through Ariba purchasing system.
  • Assist the HSE department to continually improve onsite Health, Safety and ESG performance.
  • Ensuring compliance with the relevant waste regulations currently in force, ensuring that the site is prepared for any changes or new regulations that are brought in.
  • In conjunction with the Technical department, review the EA monitoring techniques and standards to ensure Mcerts compliance.
  • Responsible for the site's monthly, quarterly and annual sustainability reporting requirements, which encompasses energy, greenhouse gases, water, waste and effluent.
