Our client are an international engineering consultancy with some excellent opportunities in the Defence industry for a Senior Civi Engineer on a contract basis.
The Senior civil engineer will work as part of a multi-disciplinary engineering team within, supporting operations and future programs at client sites.
聽
The role involves working alongside other engineers of all discipliens to author, develop, assess, and maintain engineering design substantiation for a defence organizations nuclear facilities .

Key Responsibilities:
聽
路Author & manage design substantiation documents
路Oversee civil design changes & concessions
路Present safety cases to committees
路Develop EIMT schedules & safety reviews
路Provide technical advice & conduct independent reviews
路Apply engineering knowledge in high-risk environments
路Justify civil/structural design modifications
聽
Essential:
路5+ years of experience in design assessment for RC and steel structures, including dynamic loads, such as earthquakes, blasts and wind.
路Experience with RC and steelwork marine structures and jetties.
路Proven ability to produce technical justifications for civil/structural design modifications in high-hazard industries.
路Skilled in applying theoretical and practical methods to design, develop, and manage engineering processes in nuclear/high-risk environments.
路 Strong foundation in general and specialist engineering knowledge, utilizing both existing and emerging technologies.
路Proven ability to produce robust technical justifications for civil/structural design modifications in high-hazard industries.

路Experience in defence or a similar nuclear environment favourable
路 Familiarity with safety case development techniques, such as HAZID/HAZOP
