Our client is offering a contract opportunity for skilled Mechanical Fitters to join their team based at their HMNB Clyde site. You will undertake mechanical fitting activities, repairs and inspections on systems and equipment on all aspects of work completed within the estate and, when required, in other sections.

Role: Mechanical Fitters
Contract: 6-months
Hourly Rate: Competitive
Location: Helensburgh, Faslane

The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC clearance for this role.

Responsibilities:

Completion of all planned preventative maintenance to ensure the department meets the objectives of the business.
Identification and rectification of all system, manufacture, defects and alterations.
Ensure that work is carried out in line with current processes and make suggestions on improving systems and processes to increase productivity in accordance with set objectives and timescales.
Work within all H&S legislation, Safe Systems of Work and control of work processes.

Experience and knowledge required:

Recognised Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship or equivalent
Asbestos Awareness

Mechanical Systems and Equipment
Pressure Systems and Equipment
Boilers
Interpretation of engineering drawings
Maintenance Documentation
Risk Assessments
COSHH
