Long - Term teaching is working with an alternative provision that has a school located in Helston that support both primary and secondary students. Based just outside of Helston, this particular site provides Key stage 1 and 2 students with an enriching learning programme that includes English, Maths, science, computing and PSHE. The school also encourages a creative curriculum, where art, drama and PE are included on timetable. Play therapy is also offered to support some students. The school promotes self - esteem and independent learning.

Your key duties will include general classroom support, in addition to 1:1 support and small group interventions. Along with this, you will have the opportunity to implement your creative side, by planning and leading activities.

The headteacher is looking for a resilient, enthusiastic teaching assistant who possesses great experience when it comes to SEMH. Students may display challenging behaviour, so it is essential that you can manage challenging situations calmly and effectively.

Commencing in January 2025, this will be a full time position working Monday to Friday, term time only, between the hours of 8:30am - 3:30pm.
