About the Role: Our client is seeking a skilled and motivated Assistant Management Accountant to join our finance team on a temporary basis. In this role, you will support the management accounting function, assisting with financial reporting, analysis, and budgeting. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and contributing to the overall financial health of the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and commentary.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate any discrepancies.
- Collaborate with other departments to gather financial data and ensure accuracy.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Support the Finance Manager in ad hoc financial projects.
- Maintain accurate records in accounting software.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in an accounting role, ideally within a chartered accountant office.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting software.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
