NLB Solutions are working with a large business to find an Assistant Management Accountant to join a large and expanding team. The business have been expanding the team since they have acquired and expanded their portfolio of international business. The team manager has an excellent background in developing the team and providing support to members that need additional skills. There is a culture across the business to help achieve long terms goals as a business and to help staff do the same. The business need an experienced management accounts individual that is an active studier that has undertaken CIMA, ACCA or ACA and is looking to conclude the exams and develop in the future.

Duties:

  • Preparation of monthly management accounts including all journal entries
  • Preparation, manage and deliver cash flow forecasts by liaising with internal managers, staff and clients
  • Debtor management for entities
  • Preparation of periodic financial reporting and variance to budget analysis for internal and external clients on a timely and accurate basis
  • Preparation and submission of VAT returns
  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts
  • Assist in preparation of statutory accounts and annual audit for companies in IFRS, FRS 102 or UK GAAP, including consolidated sets of accounts
  • Assist with on boarding of new projects into the portfolio
  • Supporting continuous improvements to accounting and reporting processes together with the wider Finance and Development teams
  • Supporting regular queries from the business
  • Additional tasks to meet changing business needs and objectives
  • Business Partnering with respective managers for internal reporting and providing information requested in a timely manner

Person Spec:

  • Experience of monthly, quarterly and annual management accounting routines
  • Good experience of using an ERP system
  • Experience in communicating with non-financial internal stakeholders
  • Some experience in preparation of statutory financial statements preferred but not essential
  • Part Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
