Based in Hemel Hempstead we are an established firm of Chartered Accountants providing a wide range of accountancy, audit, taxation and business advisory services. They have experienced 30% growth year on year for the last 3 years and as such are growing their team.

About the Opportunity:

They are looking for audit and accounts semi senior who are keen to develop their experience. As a semi senior within the firm you will be expected to work as a team member and also independently. You will develop your supervisory skills and use your expertise for all stages of an audit, from planning through to completion. Their audit approach includes ongoing contact with clients throughout the year.

About the Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include:
  • Full responsibility of all stages of an audit from planning through to completion
  • Maintaining regular contact with clients
  • Prepare statutory accounts for smaller clients from the clients trial balance.
  • Use cloud based software for audit and assurance exercises
  • Preparing corporation tax computations and returns
About the Applicant:

The successful candidate will be:
  • PQ ACCA/ACA/MAAT
  • Have over a year audit experience
  • Numerate with strong IT skills.
  • An excellent communicator with good verbal and written English skills
  • Self-driven, results-oriented, and with a positive outlook
  • Able to visit the other company offices and at clients sites when necessary
  • Experience with Xero accounting software is advantageous The role will involve travel to several different client locations, so access to a vehicle is essential.
