We are supporting a local business in Hemel Hempstead in the recruitment of a Qualified Management Accountant. The business will also look at people nearing the end of their qualification as well.

The role will be responsible for the financial accounts and controls of multiple legal entities. Supporting the Group Financial Controller this position will ensure the financial controls are adhered to and financial accounts are prepared accurately and timely.

With a hybrid working model of 2/3 days a week in their offices in Hemel Hempstead, the client is offering good flexibility and a varied role.

Key role responsibilities include:

  • Managing the month end close - journals, intercompany reconciliations, accruals and prepayments
  • Preparing management accounts
  • Setting up payments
  • Updating the cash flow forecast
  • Analysing the P&L
  • Preparing monthly revenue and margin reporting
  • Assisting with UK Payroll
  • Business partnering with key areas of the business
  • Preparing weekly after sales reports
  • Supporting company audit

Ideally the successful candidate will be Qualified in CIMA, ACCA or ACA or a finalist. Experience of SAP would be highly beneficial as well as strong Excel. The role suits someone who can work independently and be solution focused in their approach. The team work closely together and it is essential this person is happy to cover responsibilities for the AP and AR elements of the finance function.
