Pastry Junior Sous Chef
Working in a mid-level management role within the Pastry team for a quality caterer.
As a Pastry Junior Sous Chef, you will help to deliver consistently high standards of patisserie mis-en-place, the nature of the business means that the majority of the work is production focused. However youll still be working with quality ingredients to create modern technical desserts.
In the role of Pastry Junior Sous Chef, you will:
- Craft innovative desserts for high-profile clients.
- Work alongside the Head Pastry Chef to develop and maintain the highest standards.
- Oversee daily pastry production, ensuring efficiency and adherence to deadlines.
- Motivate and guide a team of pastry chefs, fostering a collaborative environment.
- Possess a strong eye for detail and a commitment to food safety and hygiene.
We are looking for a Pastry Junior Sous Chef who:
- Has a minimum of 3 years experience as a Pastry Chef in high-end catering, hotels or events.
- Demonstrates exceptional creativity and a mastery of various pastry techniques (cakes, tarts, mousses, chocolates, etc.)
- Possesses excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Thrives in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Has availability to work 5 days out of 7 (straight shifts).
