Job Title: Civils Site Agent
Location: Hemel Hempstead (projects within 1-1.5hr drive of Hemel Hempstead)
Salary: 40,000 to 60,000 per annum (depending on experience) + car allowance and package
Our client is a specialist groundworks contractor based in Hemel Hempstead. They have a growing list of projects in Hertfordshire, Essex, Bedfordshire and Northamptonshire and they are looking for a Site Agent to join their team. Working on projects for Tier 1 main contractors, you'll play a key role in delivering packages ranging from 500k to 4m, including construction of new roads, roadabouts and foundations on large projects within the highways, rail and aviation sectors.
The Site Agent will be working closely with the businesses senior management team and taking responsibility for 2-3 projects simultaneously. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting in the management of projects, focusing on programme, health and safety and quality,
- Liaise with the clients, site foreman, quantity surveyors and project managers to resolve project issues
- Oversee RAMS, lift plans and lookahead programmes
- Develop and monitor ITP's and site progress
- Manage resources, materials and maintain accurate records
- Participate in site meetings, assist with tenders and manage general project administration
The Site Agent will need to demonstrate a sound understanding of the civil engineering and groundwork sectors and ready to step into a dynamic and rewarding role. It's essential that you have experience in these areas:
- A minimum of 5 years experience in civil engineering or groundwork's with a subcontractor or main contractor in the UK
- A valid CSCS card
- Clean driving licence
- Excellent communication skills
