CNC Mill/Turn Machinist: £18-20 Per Hour Location: Kings Langley, HertfordshireHours: 39.5 hours per week, Mon-Thurs 8:00 am - 4:30 pm; Fri 8:00 am - 4:00 pm (30-minute lunch)**OPEN TO CANDIDATES ON A PSW WITH THE NESSACARY SKILL SET WILL BE CONSIDERED**Our client is a trusted supplier within the aerospace industry and as one of their CNC Mill/Turn Machinist, you will join a dedicated team in a modern, clean environment, producing components of medium to high complexity in small to medium batches. This role involves working with CNC Milling and Turning machines, ensuring components are manufactured to the exacting standards required in aerospace applications.Key Responsibilities
  • Set and operate CNC Milling and Turning machines, maintaining precision to tolerances of +/- 0.001” (0.025mm) and occasionally +/- 0.0005” (0.0125mm).
  • Collaborate with Planning, Quality, and Engineering teams on repeat and new product introduction (NPI) jobs to refine and enhance manufacturing processes.
  • Maintain a high standard of 6S on the shop floor.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including Kaizen events, to enhance manufacturing processes.
Experience & Skills Required
  • Previous experience in aerospace or a similar high-precision environment.
  • Competent in setting and operating CNC Mill/Turn using Fanuc controls.
  • Strong understanding of tolerances specific to customer requirements, with experience in maintaining tight tolerances.
  • Either apprentice-trained or experienced by qualification.
