Description

The Commercial Finance Analyst (1 day in the office per week) will be:

  • Partner with Commercial Directors to optimise critical financial metrics, including revenue growth, margins and working capital performance.

  • Lead financial planning by orchestrating budgets, maintaining forecasts and analysing variances to drive business performance.
  • Transform complex financial data into structured reporting that delivers clear, actionable insights for stakeholders.
  • Develop financial models for strategic initiatives, incorporating sensitivity analyses and risk assessments for business opportunities.
  • Advise business leaders through in-depth financial analysis of commercial activities and market opportunities.
  • Manage project financials by establishing monitoring frameworks and conducting post-implementation reviews.
  • Drive process improvements by implementing automated solutions and standardised analytical frameworks.
  • Support executive decisions through comprehensive financial analyses combining quantitative and qualitative insights.
  • Execute investment appraisals using NPV, IRR and payback calculations to optimise resource utilisation.
  • Collaborate with commercial teams to evaluate product launches and pricing strategies, ensuring thorough financial assessment.

Profile

The Commercial Finance Analyst (1 day in the office per week) will be:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with strong commercial acumen
  • Proven track record in a commercial finance role within retail or FMCG
  • Experience in managing complex stakeholder relationships at senior level
  • Strong financial modelling and scenario analysis capabilities
  • Deep understanding of retail metrics and KPIs
  • Excellent presentation and influencing skills
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint proficiency
