A dynamic start-up based in Hemel Hempstead is seeking a motivated Finance Analyst / Trainee Finance Business Partner to join their team and work closely alongside the Finance Business Partner. The role is available for immediate start and will initially be offered on a temporary basis, with the possibility of becoming a permanent position for the right individual.
Role Overview: In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of key financial processes, including month-end reporting, balance sheet reconciliations, and cash flow management. This role is ideal for someone with experience working in a role that completed management accounts and is looking to transition into a more varied opportunity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee month-end journals, including accruals, prepayments, and adjustments
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations
- Prepare and report on cash flow
- Assist in the preparation and analysis of the budget
- Contribute to the implementation of new financial processes
- Support the business with the transition to a new ERP system
Key Person Specification:
- Proven experience in month-end reporting
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively
- Adaptable and proactive in the face of change
- Solution-focused and always looking for ways to improve
- Eagerness to learn and develop professionally
- A strong team player with a collaborative mindset
- Finance-related qualification (AAT or part-qualified ACCA or CIMA)
