Think Accountancy and Finance are excited to partner with a growing organisation based in Hemel Hempstead, seeking an experienced Finance Manager. If you have a background in a growing business where you have implemented processes and are happy to drive change then this could be the role for you.

As a key member of the finance team, you will report directly to the Finance Director and support the organisation in a wide range of financial activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare financial reports and present insights to the management team
  • Provide strategic financial insights to aid long-term planning and decision-making
  • Lead, mentor, and support the Finance Assistant encouraging development and progression
  • Oversee Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Credit Control functions
  • Prepare Management Accounts
  • Support audit processes and statutory reporting
  • Provide financial data and insights
  • Manage the businesses strategy for growth
  • Implement new processes and more efficient ways of working
  • Payroll

This is a key role within a rapidly growing organisation, so we are seeking a proactive, growth-oriented individual who can work independently while fostering collaboration with teams across the business.

Required Experience and Skills:

  • Qualified by Experience or a Chartered Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent)
  • Ability to think on your own as well as find solutions
  • Experience in payroll processing
  • Strong IT skills, including proficiency in QuickBooks or other cloud-based software
  • Ability to travel across multiple sites (access to own car is required)
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Strong communicator and ability to build strong relationships with people internally and externally
  • Experience working in a growing SME business.
