Financial Accounting Manager, Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire (Hybrid working) £60- £65kpa plus benefits including up to a 20% bonus The Financial Accounting Manager is a newly established senior role within the company, tasked with overseeing the preparation of year-end statutory reports, quarterly reports for investors and lenders, and ensuring clear guidance on the accounting standards and controls that the business must adhere to. This position will also play a pivotal leadership role in the audit process. The ideal candidate will need a strong blend of financial expertise, leadership abilities, and the skill to manage complex regulatory and business landscapes.Key duties:-* Manage the year-end consolidation of the Group's financials, including the accounts for all subsidiaries.* Supervise the year-end audit, acting as the main liaison between external auditors and the internal finance teams.* Resolve any audit issues and implement corrective actions as necessary.* Clearly communicate financial reporting standards and controls to both internal and external stakeholders, including executives, investors, and regulatory authorities.* Oversee the financial accounting assistant, managing cash flow and treasury reporting while providing coaching, development, and clear objectives for growth.* Ensure the accurate and timely recording of financial transactions in line with accounting standards, including the establishment and enforcement of accounting policies and procedures.* Prepare quarterly reporting for banks and investors, in line with the company's lending and banking agreements.* Submit biannual reports to the FCA on the regulated aspects of the business.* Collaborate with the senior stakeholders to create and update financial policies in accordance with industry best practices.* Oversee accounting for any new company acquisitions, including understanding the business and making any necessary fair value adjustments.On offer is the chance to really put your own stamp on a newly created role and one that will allow for future growth within the business.
