Major Talent are looking for a Health & Safety Advisor to join a global supplements company in Hemel Hempstead. In this role, you will be implementing health and safety policies to ensure a safe working environment.

As a Health and Safety Advisor, you will:

  • Conduct risk assessments and identify hazards, implementing control measures on these.
  • Develop and implement health & safety policies aligned to regulations and best practices.
  • Provide health and safety training, delivering or coordinating session to educate.
  • Investigate incidents & accidents, identifying causes and fixing them to prevent further danger.
  • Communicate safety information in a clear and understandable manner.
  • Stay updated with the latest health and safety regulations.
  • Provide information and training on the use of safety equipment and systems.
  • Create plans to address potential emergencies.
  • Maintain records of safety inspections, incidents and reports for statistical analysis.

A successful Health and Safety Advisor, will have:

  • A IOSH (Institution of Occupational Safety and Health) membership.
  • A NEBOSH National Certificate or equivalent, demonstrating comprehensive knowledge of health & safety management.
  • A great understanding of local & national health and safety regulations.
  • The ability to identify hazards, conduct risk assessments and strategies for improvement.
  • Effective communication skills to convey important information to employees.
  • The ability to build relationships and be approachable for any health and safety concerns amongst peers.
