Health and Safety Resource Officer

Location: Hertfordshire

Temporary for 3 months

The Building Safety department of a distinguished organisation is actively seeking a Health and Safety Resource Officer on a temporary contract. The post holder will ensure that the organisation meets its statutory landlord compliance obligations in areas including gas safety, water safety, asbestos, electrical safety, detection, fire safety fire risk assessments, Lift/LOLER requirements.

Your duties will include:

  • Ensuring that all properties remain compliant for the relevant compliance work stream which could include: Gas safety, Water Hygiene, Asbestos, Electrical safety, Fire safety, Lift/LOLER, detection
  • Processing of invoices for the Building Safety Team, applicable for the compliance stream, allocated to this role
  • Ordering works and authorising contractor payments, relevant to the allocated compliance stream for the role
  • Oversee and or carry out a programme of post inspections (by phone or in person) to confirm identified works have been completed, in line with suppliers’ contractual agreements
  • Ensure that exposure to risk with Health and Safety is minimised

The successful should have

  • An understanding of Housing compliance
  • Desirable to be certified with IOSH or NEBOSH
