ROLE – Senior Product Design Engineer LOCATION – Hemel HempsteadTERM - PermanentSALARY - £50,000-£60,000 D.O.E Premier Group are currently recruiting for a Senior Product Designer to join the design team of a company working within the design of retail displays and furniture.You will be taking a leading role on the projects and assuming a large amount of responsibility. The materials in use would be a mix of metal, plastic, glass, wood as well as design for 3D printing.Ideally, we would like you to:

Be skilled in using 2D and 3D CAD software (Inventor)
Be able to create models / prototypes
Be technically minded
Have a product design/ engineering related degree
Have experience designing products/ projects from concept to completion
Experience with managing a small team
Strong Design for Manufacture skills
Electrical background
Ability to work on your own and part of a team
The right attitude/passion for engineering and attention to detail

Responsibilities:

Develop your ideas from concept to production.
Manage a small team of Engineers
Modelling up parts/components and protoyping
Sketch ideas and develop concepts.
Create models/prototypes.
Do market research, visit clients and listen to their feedback.
Use all manufacturing processes.
View and review tooling trials – potential for overseas travel.
Quality test new products
