Working for a trusted leader in the aerospace industry, specialising in the manufacture of precision gear, splined, and threaded components for esteemed clients including Rolls Royce, Eaton, Collins Aerospace, Safran Power Systems, and Meggitt.Our client is seeking a skilled Aerospace Core Technician to join their Corepack team. This hands-on role involves the dressing, deburring, and fettling of core packs to meet customer requirements. You will contribute to the production of high-precision aerospace components in a clean, modern work environment.Key Responsibilities:• Corepack Processing: Dress, deburr, and fettle core packs following build or machining operations, using hand tools, shot blasting machines, and drilling equipment as per work instructions to achieve high-quality outputs.• Preparation for Coating: Degrease laminations in preparation for coating and assembly using enclosed solvent degreasing machines, ensuring alignment with production plans and priorities.• Quality Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to procedures, customer process specifications, and industry standards during product processing.• Issue Resolution: Perform minor machine maintenance and report any unresolved issues to Corepack management.• Production Flexibility: Support various manufacturing tasks as directed by management, including covering different areas during absences, holidays, or periods of high demand.• Accurate Job Recording: Record accurate job timings in the company’s ERP system (Javelin) by scanning on and off jobs.• Workplace Organisation: Maintain 5S standards within the shop floor environment.• Team Contribution: Foster a respectful and collaborative work environment in line with the company’s Dignity at Work charter.Experience and Skills Required:• Previous aerospace or similar manufacturing/engineering experience is essential.• Strong attention to detail and excellent hand-eye coordination, particularly with precision hand tools such as Swiss files.• Ability to perform repetitive precision tasks to high-quality standards.• Effective communication skills, including the ability to read, write, and speak in English.• Ability to listen, follow instructions, and take constructive feedback.Key Behaviours:• Customer Focus: Self-motivated with a commitment to delivering exceptional results for customers.• Instills Trust: Capable of working independently and fostering positive relationships with colleagues.• Action-Oriented: Adaptable to changing production schedules and customer needs.• Continuous Improvement: Eager to challenge the status quo and curious about the impact of changes.• Self-Development: Dedicated to skill enhancement and professional growth.Total Rewards and Benefits:• 39.5-hour workweek: Monday to Thursday (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM), Friday (8:00 AM – 4:00 PM) with a 30-minute lunch break.• Overtime paid at 1.5x hourly rate (days).• Annual pay reviews.• Comprehensive financial wellbeing package, including 1-to-1 financial coaching, pension advice, and workshops.• Salary sacrifice pension scheme with Scottish Widows.• 25 days of holiday plus bank holidays (including a Christmas closure).• Onsite parking.• Life assurance.• WeCare employee support package offering 24/7 GP services, mental health support, and wellbeing resources.If you are a detail-oriented professional with aerospace or precision manufacturing experience and a passion for quality craftsmanship, we’d love to hear from you!
