Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent – 39.5hrs, Mon-Fri

Salary: £33,891 - £36,972 depending on experience

Our client, a leading engineering and manufacturing company, is seeking a skilled NDT Level 2 Inspector to join their dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional with a strong background in aerospace or a related industry to contribute to high-quality operations and uphold rigorous standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct NDT testing and inspections using Magnetic Particle and Liquid Penetrant methods.
  • Interpret test results, identify defects, and generate detailed reports on findings.
  • Complete and present test reports while adhering to strict quality standards.
  • Actively participate in Nadcap and customer audits.
  • Perform control checks, record results, and arrange NDT equipment calibration.
  • Operate within Nadcap prime specifications and adopt internal Lean principles.

Experience, Skills & Knowledge Required:

  • Proven experience in an engineering/manufacturing role, preferably within aerospace or a related sector.
  • Demonstrated skills in an NDT environment, with documented evidence of experience.
  • Relevant NDT certification (EN4179) and at least three years of progressive NDT technician experience.
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, and a commitment to process improvement.
  • Proficiency in Magnetic Particle and Liquid Penetrant inspection techniques.
  • Ability to self-certify and qualify as a quality stamp holder after the designated period.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • A completed recognised Engineering Apprenticeship and experience in Nital (acid) etch.
  • Initiative-driven with the capability to work independently.
