Our client is a leading manufacturer within multiple sectors supplying to globally renowned businesses. This is a brand-new position due to ongoing growth and increased production leading to the need for someone to take control and responsibility of the production function of the business. You will be leading and managing the production team (8+ members of staff), ensuring team motivation, performance, and development. Production Manager Requirements:
- Proven experience in a Production Manager / Production Supervisor role within precision manufacturing or a related industry
- Strong leadership skills with a focus on people management, team motivation, and performance improvement.
- Experience in driving continuous improvement and lean manufacturing methodologies.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in using production management software and tools.
- Health & safety management
Production Manager Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the production of assembled and machined components, ensuring quality and efficiency.
- Implement and monitor performance metrics to drive continuous improvement in team productivity and output.
- Develop, implement, and monitor production schedules to meet customer demands.
- Identify and drive process improvements to enhance manufacturing efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and quality control standards (ISO9001 is experience is essential).
- Coordinate with engineering, design, and quality teams to streamline production.
- Maintain a safe working environment by managing and promoting best practices to ensure health and safety regulations are met.
