HGV Class 1 driver needed for night work in Hemel Hempstead- paying up to 18.75 per hour.

HGV class 1 driver pay is a crossover rate:

16.00 for all hours between 04:00 to 21:00 Monday to Friday

18.75 for all hours between 21:00 to 04:00 Monday to Friday

Candidates of Pure Staff do not pay weekly Umbrella Margins and/or or Payroll Processing Fees.

Our client is a large (well-known) haulage company specialising in general haulage & Pallet network work.

They currently require an ongoing HGV Class 1 driver to work with their current team. This job is long term ongoing work.

The Class 1 Driver job itself will consist of drops to RDC and depots of palletised products. Minimal handball involved. Deliveries are time critical, and drivers MUST HAVE curtain sider experience.

Usual start time is between 19:00 and 22:30, shifts will be between 4 and 9 hours long (8 hours minimum paid).

The work is Monday to Friday and the client is looking for someone to start ASAP.

Our clients are looking for a candidate that can not only drive HGV C+E Class 1 lorry successfully but that can communicate well to ensure that all routes are completed.

This can be a customer facing role so the perfect candidate will be of smart appearance with a polite nature, you will need to show willingness to give that little extra to ensure our clients personnel have the best experience interaction with the driver as possible.

HGV Class 1 driver will require;

HGV Class 1 Driver licence
1 year HGV Class 1 experience is required due to insurance
CPC Card
Digital card
Clean Licence preferred with no more than 6 points (no TT TS MS DR DD) codes

Additionally, to the pay you will accrue Holiday pay payable with 7 days' notice of booked holiday. You will also be enrolled after 3 months into a pension.
