Spinwell is recruiting for a Commercial Analyst for an excellent opportunity within the public sector.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE COMMERCIAL ANALYST

To deliver service within the specified function or functions. Ensure that these services are delivered within the Councils framework of quality standards, performance targets, budgetary control and legislative requirements.

Support the Head of Service and Commercial Manager as part of the service team, in delivering the corporate vision, values and strategic priorities of the Council.

To support the delivery of projects such as the Commercial Income Review and the Garage Asset Review through identifying, researching and assisting with the development of commercial opportunities including funding, commercial models, transformation and innovation across the organisation as part of our Commercial Strategy.

Analyse and present data to various stakeholders throughout a programme/project lifecycle to support and evidence decision-making.

Liaise with Project Managers, Specialists and other Project Stakeholders to ensure that the Commercial Strategy is delivered effectively.

Act as an internal consultant to the Head of Service, Commercial Manager and senior management on allocated work streams.

Work in collaboration with other services to ensure that delivery is effective, efficient and collaborative and aligned to the achievement of the Councils aims and objectives.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE OF THE COMMERCIAL ANALYST

Good level of general education including English and Maths

Commercial/Business Analysis

Ability to analyse and report data from a variety of systems, including financial reports

Ability to identify and extract key data for specific commercial analysis

Ability to analyse and present data that can be used to shape key commercial decisions

Advanced MS Excel skills and confident user of other Microsoft products including Word and PowerPoint

Confident in challenging performance across the organisation including with senior managers

Ability to develop innovative new performance ideas

Self motivated and able to work independently

Ability to present complex messages in an understandable way

Ability to analyse and think through complex problems

Effective communication written, verbal and presentational
