TimePlan Education is a leading education recruitment agency dedicated to connecting talented educators with excellent schools. We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant school in Hemel Hempstead.

Role Overview:

We are looking for a committed Primary Teaching Assistant to support classroom activities and help create a positive learning environment for young students. This role requires working full school days, Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and activities.
  • Provide support to individual students and small groups to enhance their learning.
  • Help manage classroom behaviour and ensure a safe and positive environment.
  • Support students with phonics and early reading skills.
  • Assist in the preparation of teaching materials and resources.
  • Participate in school activities and events as needed.

Requirements:

  • Experience working in a classroom setting.
  • Experience working with young people.
  • Phonics experience is desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • A DBS check on the update service or willingness to obtain one.

Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic and passionate about working with young children. You will have prior experience in a classroom environment and be comfortable supporting students with their learning and development. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team are essential. Phonics experience is a plus.
