My client is a leading provider of high-quality precision components, serving the aerospace and precision manufacturing industries. Their commitment to excellence and continuous improvement drives success, and we are seeking a highly skilled Quality Inspector to join the team in Hemel Hempstead.

Role Overview
As a Quality Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring that all products conform to strict quality standards throughout the manufacturing process. You will provide critical inspection support to both the Gears and Corepack divisions while upholding industry regulations and customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct First Off and Final Inspection to ensure product conformity.
  • Perform In-process and First Article Inspections (FAI) in line with AS9102 requirements.
  • Operate CMM Inspection equipment and other measuring tools.
  • Support root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective actions (CA) to resolve quality issues.
  • Participate in Quality Clinic investigations and drive improvements.
  • Assist with internal and external audits and compliance with AS9100 and ISO 9001 standards.
  • Represent the Inspection Department in Daily Management meetings.
  • Support New Product Introduction (NPI) reviews and ensure compliance.
  • Utilize Statistical Process Control (SPC) for performance monitoring and analysis.

Required Skills & Experience
  • Minimum 2 years of inspection experience, preferably in the aerospace or precision manufacturing industry.
  • Strong understanding of First Article Inspection (AS9102).
  • Experience with PFMEA and PPAP (desirable).
  • Proficiency in CMM inspection and various measurement equipment.
  • Familiarity with AS9100 & ISO 9001 standards (advantageous).
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong analytical skills and a methodical approach to problem-solving.
  • Experience in Statistical Process Control (SPC) (desirable).
