Summary of the Project Manager:

The main purpose of the role is the execution and co-ordination of engineering projects associated with onshore fuel pipelines and associated facilities.

Responsibilities:

Maintain direct contact with Clients and key stakeholders regarding project issues
Co-ordination of discipline engineers, CAD Operators, Field Engineers, Contractors and Suppliers
Reporting and discussion of project issues with the Project Managers.

Provide project control from initial approval through to commissioning and handover (typical portfolio size £3mill per annum)
Ensure agreed man-hour and cost targets are adhered to.
Prepare project plans and programmes.
Ensure work is carried out in accordance with companies procedures to client satisfaction.
Ensure work is carried out in accordance with National and HSSEQ standards.
Identify and manage design risks.
Apply professional engineering discipline, judgement and constructive thinking to the selection of design solutions
Provide appropriate engineering designs in accordance with relevant company, client, national and international standards
Develop design and construction drawings.
Conduct design reviews with project stakeholders.
Manage on site construction contracts.
Liaise with onsite staff to ensure health and safety targets are achieved.
Assist in the preparation of commissioning plans.

Requirements of the Project Manager:

Member / chartered with a relevant professional institution (IMechE etc)
Experienced Project Manager or Principal Engineer
Demonstrable knowledge (in specified discipline) of design and project engineering of facilities associated with oil and gas pipelines.
Minimum of five years in the oil and gas or associated industries.
Computer literate in normal office software applications and specialist applications as necessary.
Valid UK driving licence
