The ideal candidate for this role must have experience in the following;

  • Managinghigh-value, high-risk strategic housing contracts, ensuring proper execution, administration and performance monitoring while collaborating with operational teams and the wider council.
  • Developing and overseeing mechanisms for continuous cost monitoring, budget review and risk management analysis, providing early warning systems and management information to appropriate officers.
  • Reporting on contract performance to various committees, assisting departmental contract managers with developing management plansand providing guidance and training on contract issues.
  • Collaboratingwith contractors to optimise supply chains, integrate sustainable solutions, enhance social value and ensure seamless transitions during contract mobilisation and demobilisation.
  • Utilisingdata analytics to monitor performance, developing reports and dashboards. Driving efficiency while ensuring compliance with legal, financial, and audit regulations, as well as the Council's procurement standing orders and financial regulations
