We are seeking a skilled and motivated Workshop Engineer to join a dynamic team. The role involves maintaining, repairing, and assembling a variety of equipment, machinery, or tools within the workshop environment. You will be responsible for ensuring all work is completed efficiently, safely, and to a high standard. This position is ideal for someone with strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a passion for engineering problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities as a Workshop Engineer:
  • Equipment Maintenance and Repair: Diagnose faults, service, repair, and test a wide range of machinery or tools.
  • Assembly and Installation: Assemble and set up new machinery or equipment as per manufacturer guidelines.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Perform scheduled servicing and preventive maintenance on workshop tools and equipment to ensure reliability and safety.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure all repairs and maintenance work meet quality standards and are completed within the agreed time frames.
  • Health and Safety Compliance: Adhere to workshop safety standards and procedures, including risk assessments, safe handling of tools, and maintaining a clean and organised work space.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all work performed, including service logs, inspection reports, and parts usage.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the operations team and provide technical support when required.
Skills and Qualifications Essential:
  • Proven experience as a Workshop Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
  • Proficient in using diagnostic tools, testing equipment, and workshop machinery.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong organisationaland time management abilities.
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations in a workshop environment.
Desirable:
  • Vocational or technical certification in engineering or related field.
  • Knowledge of specific equipment relevant to the industry (e.g., heavy machinery, automotive, etc.).
