About the role:
- Implement a balanced curriculum that introduces a variety of sports, fitness activities, and physical challenges, fostering students’ enthusiasm for health and wellness.
- Focus on developing essential motor skills, coordination, and body awareness, helping students build confidence and a strong physical foundation.
- Tailor lessons to accommodate diverse abilities, ensuring all students participate actively and are motivated to achieve personal goals.
- Promote values of teamwork, cooperation, and sportsmanship, guiding students in developing interpersonal skills and a positive attitude towards competition.
- Lead sports clubs and organize school-wide events, encouraging students to engage in physical activities outside of regular class and fostering a school-wide culture of health and fitness.
The ideal candidate must:
- Have the right to work within the UK
- Have experience leading and coaching sports teams or organizing sports activities.
- DBS registered on the update system or willing to purchase one
- Be comfortable and adaptable working in different environments
- Good knowledge of the PE curriculum
- Marking and planning are compulsory with this role
- Have strong classroom management skills.
- A QTS or PGCE or overseas equivalent
