About the role:

  • Implement a balanced curriculum that introduces a variety of sports, fitness activities, and physical challenges, fostering students’ enthusiasm for health and wellness.
  • Focus on developing essential motor skills, coordination, and body awareness, helping students build confidence and a strong physical foundation.
  • Tailor lessons to accommodate diverse abilities, ensuring all students participate actively and are motivated to achieve personal goals.
  • Promote values of teamwork, cooperation, and sportsmanship, guiding students in developing interpersonal skills and a positive attitude towards competition.
  • Lead sports clubs and organize school-wide events, encouraging students to engage in physical activities outside of regular class and fostering a school-wide culture of health and fitness.

The ideal candidate must:

  • Have the right to work within the UK
  • Have experience leading and coaching sports teams or organizing sports activities.
  • DBS registered on the update system or willing to purchase one
  • Be comfortable and adaptable working in different environments
  • Good knowledge of the PE curriculum
  • Marking and planning are compulsory with this role
  • Have strong classroom management skills.
  • A QTS or PGCE or overseas equivalent
