About the role:
- Design and deliver a dynamic curriculum that showcases a wide range of sports, fitness exercises, and physical challenges, igniting a passion for health and active living in students.
- Cultivate core motor skills, coordination, and body awareness, empowering students to develop self-assurance and a strong physical base.
- Adapt lessons to suit varying skill levels, ensuring inclusive participation and inspiring every student to strive toward their personal best.
- Instil values of collaboration, fair play, and respect, helping students build strong interpersonal skills and a healthy perspective on competition.
- Champion extracurricular sports clubs and coordinate school-wide athletic events, encouraging active involvement beyond the classroom and fostering a vibrant, fitness-focused community.
The ideal candidate must:
- Have the right to work within the UK
- Have experience leading and coaching sports teams or organizing sports activities.
- DBS registered on the update system or willing to purchase one
- Be comfortable and adaptable working in different environments
- Good knowledge of the PE curriculum
- Marking and planning are compulsory with this role
- Have strong classroom management skills.
- A QTS or PGCE or overseas equivalent
