Role Overview:
We are seeking a talented and motivated Science Teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to teach science at both KS3 and KS4 levels, inspiring students to develop a love for the subject and a deeper understanding of scientific principles. You will be responsible for creating engaging lessons, fostering a positive classroom environment, and helping students excel in their studies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality science lessons across KS3 and KS4.
- Ensure lessons are engaging, differentiated, and cater to the needs of all students.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback to help students improve.
- Encourage a curiosity and passion for science, fostering a positive and challenging learning environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and enhance the science curriculum.
- Take an active role in departmental planning, development, and extracurricular activities.
- Maintain high standards of behaviour management and ensure a safe and supportive classroom atmosphere.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- A degree in a science-related subject (Biology, Chemistry, Physics).
- Experience teaching science at KS3 and KS4 level (experience with KS5 is a bonus).
- A strong passion for science and a desire to inspire students.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
