Support staff/ Carers/ Support Workers required for full time work in in Hemel Hempstead.

About the School:

SENCare are working closely with a special school thatcaters for pupils with; profound and multiple learning difficulties(PMLD), severe learning difficulties(SLD), autistic spectrum disorder(ASD), multi-sesonsry impairments and all pupils have an educational health and care plan(EHCP).The pupils who attend the school are aged between 5 - 19, support is provided to the pupils with 1:1 support or, in small group support.

Responsibilites:

  • To support the class teacher in the delivery of lessons.
  • To motivate, engage and inspire the pupils.
  • To manage behaviour positively in line with the schools behaviour policy.
  • Adhere to the school's safeguarding policy.
  • Provide personsal care to required pupils.

Prospective candiates are required to have:

  • A DBS dated within the last 3 years or, be willing to apply for a new DBS.
  • Appropriate RTW in the UK for full time work.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Previous experience working within a classroom setting or a care home.
  • Previous SEN/ SEND experience(SEMH and ASD).
