Qualified SEN/ SEND Teachers required for full time teaching in Hemel Hempstead
SENCare are working closely with a special school thatcaters for pupils with; profound and multiple learning difficulties(PMLD), severe learning difficulties(SLD), autistic spectrum disorder(ASD), multi-sesonsry impairments and all pupils have an educational health and care plan(EHCP). The pupils who attend the school are aged between 5 - 19, support is provided to the pupils with 1:1 support or, in small groups.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and teach lessons, for small groups and individual pupils.
- Prepare teaching materials, take registers and write reports.
- Supportstudents develop confidence, independence and encourage them to learn.
- Manage behaviour, mark work and talk to parents and carers about their pupil'sprogress.
Prospective teachers are required to have:
- A DBS dated within the last 3 years or, be willing to apply for a new DBS.
- Appropriate RTW in the UK for full time work.
- Excellent communication skills.
- QTS or QTLS.
- ECTs are welcome to apply.
- Previous experience working within a special school(SLD, PMLD, ASD and challenging behaviour).
- Prevuous experience planning and delinvering lesson for SLD/ PMLD pupils.
