Role Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and experienced SEN Teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will be passionate about working with children who have a range of learning, social, and emotional needs. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality, tailored lessons and interventions that support the diverse needs of students in a positive and inclusive setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons for students with a variety of SEN, ensuring that each child’s needs are met.
  • Develop Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and track progress against targets.
  • Work closely with support staff and parents to provide the best outcomes for students.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where every student feels valued.
  • Provide personalised interventions to support students with their academic and social development.
  • Monitor and assess students' progress, providing feedback and adjusting teaching strategies accordingly.
  • Collaborate with the SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) and other professionals to ensure that students are receiving appropriate support.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience working with students with special educational needs, either in a mainstream or special school setting.
  • Knowledge of SEN and relevant teaching strategies.
  • A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to teaching.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • A commitment to creating an inclusive learning environment and promoting diversity.
  • Additional qualifications in SEN (e.g., SENCO, Autism Awareness, etc.) are desirable but not essential.
