Academics are currently recruiting for an exceptional Lead Teacher to join an innovative independent special school based in Hemel Hempstead. This is a unique opportunity to work in the education and training sector, supporting students with autism and associated needs in a nurturing and forward-thinking environment.

About the School

Since its founding in 2021, this independent special school has grown significantly and now operates across two successful sites, with plans for a third. The school serves students aged 7-14 (expanding to 16) and combines academic excellence with therapeutic support, helping students rebuild their confidence and rediscover a love for learning.

Key Responsibilities

As a Lead Teacher, you will:

  • Deliver engaging, differentiated lessons within a small class size of 4-6 students.
  • Work closely with a dedicated team of Teaching Assistants and therapeutic professionals.
  • Contribute to the development and growth of the school, including curriculum innovation and site expansion.
  • Build strong relationships with students, families, and staff to create a positive learning environment.
