Job Title: HGV Technician

Location: Hemel Hempstead

Shift Patterns:

6:30am - 2:30pm, Monday to Friday (early finish on Friday)
8:00am - 4:00pm, Monday to Friday (Early finish on Friday)

Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated HGV Technician to join a local authority in Hemel Hempstead. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a range of vehicles, including small vans, heavy goods vehicles (HGVs), and some plant equipment. This role is crucial in ensuring their fleet operates safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform MOT preparation work to ensure vehicles meet legal standards.
- Conduct A, B, and C service work on a variety of vehicles.
- Diagnose and repair general defects on small vans, HGVs, and plant equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of all work carried out.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and efficient completion of tasks.

Qualifications and Skills:

- Proven experience as a HGV Technician or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair.
- Familiarity with MOT preparation and service work.
- Ability to diagnose and repair a wide range of vehicle defects.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
