Premier Engineering is currently working with an innovative Engineering company based in Hemel Hempstead. They are looking to bring on a Technical Writer to join their growing team and support their diverse range of engineering projects.

The Technical Writer will ideally have the following attributes:
  • Proven experience in creating technical documentation for engineering or manufacturing companies.
  • Strong writing and editing skills, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with documentation tools such as MS Word, Adobe FrameMaker, or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with CAD drawings and engineering diagrams is advantageous (Inventor)
  • Ability to understand complex technical concepts and communicate them clearly.
  • A degree or relevant qualification in Engineering, Technical Writing, or a related field is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Experience within Furniture design/knowledge.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks effectively.
The Technical Writer role will involve:
  • Developing and maintaining technical documentation, including user manuals, service guides, and technical specifications.
  • Collaborating closely with engineering teams to gather information and ensure accuracy in documentation.
  • Reviewing and updating existing documentation to align with current products and standards.
  • Translating technical concepts into clear, concise, and user-friendly documents for a range of audiences.
  • Ensuring consistency in style, tone, and formatting across all technical materials.
  • Supporting the creation of training materials and other communication tools as needed.
