Electrical Design Engineer
We are recruiting for an Electrical Design Engineer to join a well-established company in Gloucester.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced engineer to play a key role in designing and coordinating electrical systems for a variety of projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce detailed electrical designs and calculations.
- Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate electrical systems into the overall project design.
- Ensure designs comply with relevant standards, regulations, and environmental considerations.
- Conduct site inspections and liaise with the construction team to ensure successful project delivery.
- Prepare and review technical reports, specifications, and documentation.
- Provide technical support and guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Participate in client meetings and presentations to communicate design solutions effectively.
Qualifications & Experience:
- HNC/HND in Electrical or Building Services Engineering (minimum requirement).
- BS7671:2018 (advantageous but not essential).
- City & Guilds 2396 (advantageous but not essential).
- IET Membership (advantageous but not essential).
- Experience designing electrical systems for a range of building types.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Good practical knowledge is an advantage.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (essential).
- Revit experience (advantageous but not essential).
- Familiarity with design calculation software such as Trimble Pro Design, Relux, or Dialux.
