What’s the Role?

Reporting to the Warehouse & Logistics Manager, you will take full day-to-day responsibility for a team working in a dynamic warehouse environment. This is a hands-on role, meaning you will be based on the shop floor, not in an office, ensuring smooth operations, enforcing standards, and leading by example.

Who We’re Looking For:

This isn’t just about picking and packing; we need someone with clear, demonstrable experience in people management including:

  • KPI Management – Ensuring accuracy, productivity, and efficiency targets are met
  • Disciplinary & Performance Management – Addressing issues professionally and proactively
  • Shift Control & Leadership – Motivating and directing teams to meet tight deadlines
  • Training & Development – Coaching team members and maintaining training records
The Environment:
  • This is an open warehouse, meaning outside picks in all weather conditions
  • Some products are challenging to pick due to similar appearances, requiring a keen eye for detail
  • Tech-savvy? Experience with handheld scanners and IT systems (including MS Office/Excel) is highly desirable
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and motivate a team to ensure efficient, accurate order fulfilment
  • Ensure all procedures are followed and KPI targets are maintained
  • Conduct return-to-work interviews, manage attendance, holiday scheduling, and staff development
  • Train new and existing staff, ensuring compliance with health & safety regulations
  • Carry out stock checks, audits, and workflow adjustments as necessary
  • Liaise with transport teams to ensure timely order dispatch
What You Need:
  • Proven leadership experience in a warehouse environment
  • Strong communication & problem-solving skills
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • A highly organised approach with excellent attention to detail
  • FLT licence (advantageous but not essential)
