Job Purpose
The Quality Inspector position is to measure and verify that machined metal components are correct to specification.

Job Responsibilities
  • Performing scheduled checks of parts at during the manufacture of each pallet of parts.
  • Performing scheduled Gateway inspections on production parts in order to approve the batch of components to be moved to next process stage.
  • 100% inspection of batches on any features that have failed the gateway release audit.
  • Perform dock audits on parts ready for shipment.
  • Overview final inspection rejects and give feedback to the final inspector(s).
  • The use of handheld measuring equipment such as, Micrometer, linear gauges, attribute gauges, visual inspection and specialised CNC measurement machines.
  • Basic computer skills to enable the inspection results to be scanned and filed electronically.
  • Ensuring a smooth handover of incomplete tasks and relevant information about the shift at the start and end of each shift.
  • A keen eye for detail and a questioning nature

Person Specification
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written
  • Ability to work well within a team
  • Previous experience in a similar role and manufacturing environment would be advantageous
