Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor
Location: Sussex
Package: £70,000 - £85,000 plus £6,000 car allowance, travel + flexible working

Skilled Careers are working with a leading UK Tier 1 Main Contractor who are experiencing significant growth and who are on an impressive work winning streak. Due to an exciting pipeline of work across multiple sectors, they are looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team. The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be working on a circa £80m Commercial New Build PCSA Project.

Duties:

  • Manage large commercial teams and oversee multiple high-value projects across various sectors.
  • Lead the project delivery process, ensuring that all commercial aspects are efficiently and effectively handled.
  • Monitor and measure actual expenditure against budgeted project expenditure, producing detailed CVRs (Cost Value Reconciliation) to track project progress.
  • Work closely with senior leadership and project managers to ensure contractual obligations are met and the project stays within financial targets.
  • Take full responsibility for the financial management and commercial performance of the projects.
  • Oversee the preparation and submission of monthly progress reports and cost management documentation.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, contractors, and suppliers.
  • Provide support and guidance to junior commercial staff, ensuring the team performs at the highest standard.
  • Produce main and subcontract final accounts.

Requirements:

  • Must have previous experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor working for a UK Main Contractor.
  • Extensive experience with New Build projects within the Commercial, Education, Healthcare, and Leisure sectors.
  • Demonstrable experience managing large commercial teams and large-scale projects.
  • Strong understanding of cost management, procurement, and contract administration.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple teams and projects effectively.
