What you will do as the Quality Manager:
- Ensure full compliance with food safety standards and legislation, with a strong focus on BRC accreditation, driving the implementation and continuous development of the Quality and Food Safety Management System.
- Lead new product development, identifying opportunities to expand the company's product range in line with market trends.
- Investigate and resolve non-conformances and customer complaints, implementing corrective actions to enhance quality standards.
- Oversee the internal audit schedule, ensuring full compliance and continuous improvement.
- Manage and maintain all technical documentation, including internal and external specifications.
- Approve and audit suppliers, ensuring the integrity of the approved supplier database.
- Stay ahead of industry trends, providing expert advice on current and upcoming food technology developments that may impact the business.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, enhancing productivity and operational efficiency.
- Provide leadership cover for operations management during periods of absence.
- Lead the BRC audit team, maintaining the company's AA-grade BRC accreditation.
What you will need to apply for the Quality Manager position:
- A scientific background, ideally in food science or microbiology.
- Significant quality/technical experience in the food manufacturing sector.
- Good knowledge of BRC and HACCP
- Flexibility to work on diverse tasks in a small business environment.
What you will receive in return:
- A salary of up to £45,000 - £50,000 (highly dependent on experience) plus benefits.
Your hours of work:
- Monday to Friday, 8.30 am to 4.30 pm.
